Regional Council

International ACAC Regional Council

In March 2025, the International ACAC membership approved the establishment of a Regional Council composed of eight Regional Representatives, marking an exciting step toward deepening member engagement and strengthening our global network.

Creating the Regional Council accomplishes two goals: to bring deliberate regional representation to the leadership structure of the Association and to widen member participation in leadership roles, by removing the need for voting membership for members to run or vote for these positions.

2025 Regional Council

The inaugural Regional Council Election was conducted in September and October 2025. Read more about the election.

No candidate was slated for Region 2 or Region 8. The positions will be filled through a joint appointment by the President and the Vice President for Global Affairs, with the approval of both the Executive Board and the Regional Council. The appointed position will serve a term ending in July 2026. Applications for this position will reopen in December 2025 for a three-year term.
