Study in Prague is comprised of the seven public universities in Prague, serving 110,000 students including 27,000 international students. The schools in the consortium are: Charles University, Czech Technical University in Prague, Czech University of Life Sciences Prague, Prague University of Economics and Business, University of Chemistry and Technology, Prague, Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, Academy of Performing Arts in Prague.

It doesn’t matter whether your interests lie in medicine, international business, social sciences, environment protection, chemistry or physics; if your goal is to hone your skills in mathematics, food, agriculture, film directing, architecture, informatics, or journalism there’s a university for you.

Situated almost in the middle of the country and drawing on its eleven centuries long history, Prague (in Czech: Praha, German: Prag) prides itself on multiple epithets such as the “Queen of Cities”, the “City of a Hundred Spires” or the “Mother of all Cities”.

Although the population of Prague is less than one-eighth that of London, half of Rome’s and approximately a third of Berlin’s, Prague is in many ways more affordable, more visitor-friendly and, last but not least, cozier than many of the world’s other most popular cities.

Regional Institute fees will be $220 for Secondary School and Individual Members and $245 for College/University Members and Organizational Members.

The institute offers scholarship opportunities for secondary school and independent counselors who could not otherwise afford to attend.

Separate registration is required for EACH MEMBER who wants to attend the Regional Institute. 

Post-Secondary Members: registration for the College Fair is housed within the registration form. Only ONE MEMBER from each institution needs to register for the Fair. Please check with your colleagues before registering to ensure only one attendee pays the Fair registration fee.

Thursday, May 22: The Institute will take place at Czech Technical University.

Friday, May 23: The Institute, including the Reverse Fair, will take place at Charles University. Dinner at National Agriculture Museum.

Housing Options

Room blocks have been negotiated at nearby hotels.

1. Hilton Prague Old Town:

• 6372 CHK/per night ($267.20 USD at time of posting) Cost including breakfast, VAT. and tourist tax.
• Block is for the nights of May 22 and 23. A limited number of rooms are available for May 24.
• Full hotel block is available until February 24, at which point half of the non-booked rooms will be released.
• Rate is available until March 24, after which link will expire.

• Cancellation: Free cancellation until March 25. From March 25th to 7 days before arrival, hotel will charge the cost of the first night. Less than 7 days from arrival local time, hotel will charge full stay.

2. Vienna House by Wyndham Diplomat Prague:

• 3800 CHK/per night ($159.35 USD at time of posting) Cost includes VAT and Breakfast.
• Full hotel block is available until April 2, after which rate will expire.

• Cancellation: Free cancellation 7 days before arrival. Less than 7 days from arrival local time, with any changes or cancellations, hotel will charge full stay.

3. VSE hotel (Select University Hotel):

• 75 EUR/per night ($79 USD at time of posting) Cost includes VAT and Breakfast. Rooms are first come, first served.

For Secondary School and Independent Counselors:

Join Prague City University and Anglo-American University to learn more about earning either a US or UK Bachelor's Degree in Prague while enjoying a unique view of the city. This special event offers a one-hour river cruise with amazing sites, an open bar, canapés, and great company—the perfect way to spend an afternoon connecting with fellow attendees.

This will give you an opportunity to learn more about two of the private universities in Prague and what we have to offer your students in higher education.

 Time: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM
 Location: Prague Boats Dock

We’ll begin with 30 minutes of mooring for boarding and networking before setting sail at 3:30 PM. After an hour on the water, we’ll return at 4:30 PM for another 30 minutes docked, giving you ample time to continue conversations before heading off for dinner.

Additionally, The University Guys has a tour of high schools across the UK for international universities looking to meet international and home students. Arrivals are planned for Sunday, May 18th, which will be followed by a three-day roadshow, running through to Wednesday, May 21st, finishing with a drop off at Stansted airport, facilitating a direct flight onward to Prague for the Regional Institute.
