East Asia Regional Institute Fast-Facts Update:

Registrations, fairs, curriculum, grants, networking and additional events (as of June 10th), basic information and practicalities


  • Over 100 now! Including…
    • 55% who represent high school students
    • 75 institutions, made up of high schools, universities, organizations
    • Universities from 14 countries
    • Counselors from Republic of Korea, The People’s Republic of China, India, Vietnam, Canada, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Nepal
    • Hurry registration deadline is July 20th - - but past institute data indicates we will reach capacity before that time



The East Asia Regional Institute Fair takes place on Saturday August 12th

  • The fair will be open to the public and local organizers are working hard to attract some of the top students from across the city.
  • Counselors can expect to see the same great selection of universities at the Fair

  • The Fairs in Beijing and Singapore are not International ACAC events, but we do hope you will consider attending those fairs, as advertised on the East Asia Regional Institute webpage



  • Our faculty is comprised of outstanding counselors and admissions representatives from multiple nationalities, backgrounds, and university locations.
  • Relevant to the following streams: beginning stage counselors, advanced counselors, university representatives, and mixed


  • Similar to Africa Regional Institute, EARI is offering institute grants to eligible counselors to help offset the cost of attendance. 
    • EARI Grants can cover registration and International ACAC Membership
    • The application must demonstrate need and the ability to positively impact your students
    • The deadline is July 1st! Please hurry!
    • To add value, our Grant Application team, lead by Percy Jiang (Keystone Academy, Beijing) is putting together a supplementary program for Grantees that will take place on Saturday August 12th.

Its not too late to submit an application – several grants still available!!

Networking and Additional Institute Events

  • There will be coffee and evening networking opportunities throughout the EARI
  • There are built in sub-regional and topical breakout sessions where you will have a chance to focus on relationships and issues specific to your country or region within Asia

Basic Information and Practicalities

  • Our host is the University of Utah-Asia Campus. With modern facilities, single en-suite bedrooms, and quality dining options on campus, this should be a very comfortable stay!
  • The University of Utah-Asia Campus is located within a 20min drive of Incheon International Airport, the primary air traffic hub for Seoul; it is also possible to reach the campus from Gimpo Seoul Airport in approximately 1hr
  • It is possible to check into the campus on Friday or Saturday night for an additional charge of 30 USD/night.
  • If you choose to stay in downtown Seoul on Friday or Saturday there are hotel recommendations with close proximity to the fair on the EARI website
