Pending funding approval, Saint Michael’s College is seeking an experienced international recruiter to begin work in September 2017. This is a full-time, permanent position. The Office of Admission is seeking an International Admission Officer who will specialize in recruiting, admitting, and converting potential USC students in various global territories with a specialization in Europe. This experienced admission professional will manage all aspects of the territory on behalf of the university. Under the general supervision of the Assistant Director, the International Admission Specialist is available to students, families, the campus community, and the general public to interpret, enforce and explain University policies and regulations. The incumbent is responsible for all phases of admission eligibility evaluation of both freshman and transfer international applicants based on self-reported information, official transcripts, and other pertinent documents. The International Admission Specialist will independently represent Undergraduate Admissions to international students at local high schools and community colleges by providing oversight at various programs and events and participating in school visits, and college fairs. Reporting to the Director of Admissions, the Student Services Coordinator, with working title of International Admissions Counselor, will be responsible for the implementation and coordination of international student recruitment, including an international student communication plan. This position plays a very important role in the recruitment and outreach activities of the Admissions Office. This staff member will meet with prospective students and their parents, secondary school counselors, various groups on and off campus, alumni, agents, and other contacts in a variety of venues to promote the opportunities offered at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
