This position has a tentative focus on the Middle Eastern and Indian markets with potential for other recruiting areas. This includes all aspects of territory file review including evaluation of finances, test scores, and transcript review.The Assistant Director also assists with marketing initiatives including communication flow edits/updates, evaluation of new international markets for travel and recruitment, coordinating with other university offices to ensure a smooth transition for new students. Reporting to the Director of Admissions, the Student Services Coordinator, with working title of International Admissions Counselor, will be responsible for the implementation and coordination of international student recruitment, including an international student communication plan. This position plays a very important role in the recruitment and outreach activities of the Admissions Office. This staff member will meet with prospective students and their parents, secondary school counselors, various groups on and off campus, alumni, agents, and other contacts in a variety of venues to promote the opportunities offered at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. A significant part of the recruitment process will be establishing and nurturing relationships that serve as a conduit for international students to learn about UW-La Crosse. This staff member will collaborate with other Admissions Office staff members, working together to coordinate recruitment activities.
